I like to cook for my family. I read recipes and watch YouTube channels to find ideas for new dishes. Now it is my hobby, but I in future it will be my profession.
Everyone appreciates a good food. Food is not just nutrition for your body. When the meal is tasty, smells good and looks good, it is uplifting. That is why good cooks are always in demand.
I have already made dishes of European and Asian cuisines. Learning a cuisine means also learning a culture, it is very interesting.
I understand that working in catering is not easy. A shift may last 12 hours and you have to spend the whole day on your feet. But I hope my health won’t let me down.
I wouldn’t like to work in fast food cafe, where the same dishes are made day by day from semi-finished products. I would like to work in a real restaurant and over time become a chef.
I also study information on healthy diet, so I hope I will be able to create a good and balanced menu.
I am going to go to college after 9 th grade, where I will get a vocational education.
It is very important to choose a profession you really like. Fortunately, you can get experience in cooking long before you have a diploma. So I’m sure that I’ve made a right choice.
Я люблю готовить для своей семьи. Я читаю рецепты и смотрю YouTube каналы, чтобы найти идеи для новых блюд. Сейчас это мое хобби, но в будущем это будет моей профессией.
Я уже готовила блюда европейской и азиатской кухни. Изучение национальной кухни означает также изучение культуры, это очень интересно.
Я понимаю, что работать в сфере общественного питания непросто. Смена может длиться 12 часов, и нужно проводить весь день на ногах. Но надеюсь, здоровье меня не подведет.
Не хотелось бы работать в кафе быстрого питания, где изо дня в день готовят одни и те же блюда из полуфабрикатов. Я хотела бы работать в настоящем ресторане и со временем стать шеф-поваром.
Я также изучаю информацию о здоровом питании, поэтому надеюсь, что смогу создать хорошее и сбалансированное меню.
Я собираюсь пойти в колледж после 9-го класса, где я получу профессиональное образование.
Очень важно выбрать профессию, которая вам действительно нравится. К счастью, опыт в кулинарии можно получить задолго до получения диплома. Поэтому я уверена, что сделала правильный выбор.
Топик «Pastry-cook»
Baking has always been my hobby. I started baking and making desserts when I was 15 years old. I tried all the recipes I could find in cookbooks or magazines. Some of them were good, others not. At least I thought there was a problem in a recipe not in me, if something went wrong.
In other words, I was an ordinary girl who showed an interest in baking and was trying to improve her skills by her own. However, one day everything changed. I found out that one of the best patisseries in my city was searching for a new pastry-cook. The idea of applying came to me as a sudden flash.
I had an interview and could not even imagine that they would choose me from other candidates. Nevertheless, the pastry chef liked me so much that she decided to hire me even if she had to teach me everything. From that moment, I could not believe I was going to work in this field.
From the very first day, the pastry chef was kind to me and showed much patience while I was learning to make unique and complicated cakes and desserts. I was extremely happy to work there and I loved to wake up early every day and flew to work.
Since then, I became much more experienced and skilled. Unfortunately, I had to quit the job several months later, but I still come to see my pastry chef and even come to work when she needs my help. I can call it the job of my dreams and now I know for sure that being a pastry-cook means more than baking or making desserts. It is a kind of art, which requires all of your energy, power and talent.

Я узнала о том, что одна из лучших кондитерских моего города ищет нового кондитера. Идея попробовать устроиться возникла у меня внезапно.
Я прошла интервью и не могла себе даже представить, что они выберут меня из других кандидатов. Тем не менее, шеф-кондитеру я так понравилась, что она решила нанять меня, несмотря на то, что ей пришлось обучить меня всему. С того момента я не могла поверить, что буду работать в этой сфере.
С самого первого дня шеф-кондитер была добра ко мне и проявляла огромное терпение, пока я училась делать уникальные и сложные десерты. Я была чрезвычайно счастлива этой работе и любила каждый день рано вставать и бегом бежать на работу. С тех пор я стала более опытной и умелой.
К сожалению, мне пришлось уйти с этой работы несколько месяцев спустя, но я до сих пор навещаю своего шеф-кондитера и даже выхожу на работу, когда ей необходима моя помощь. Я могу назвать эту работу работой моей мечты и теперь я точно знаю, что быть кондитером – значит гораздо больше, чем просто печь и делать десерты. Это своего рода искусство, требующее всей твоей энергии, силы и таланта.

It’s not an easy thing to choose the right job out of more than 2000 existing in the world. Many roads are opened for a school-leaver: vocational and technical schools, different colleges and universities. Those who are kind, unselfish , good at Chemistry and Biology and ready to devote themselves to people’s health can enter Medical Colleges. Those who love children, want them to be well-educated, well-informed and brought up can enter Teachers’ Training Colleges. Shortly speaking there are many noble and useful jobs.
So, I can say, there are a lot of employment opportunities in my field. I don’t worry about finding a job. The most important thing for me now is to study well and to graduate from the vocational school. I want to become a skilled worker on my graduating from here. I find my future profession interesting and I hope it will be well-paid.

Порядок слов в повествовательном предложении
Повествовательные предложения служат для того, чтобы сообщить что-то собеседнику или читателю. Они содержат утверждение какого-либо факта (утвердительные предложения) или отрицание какого-либо факта (отрицательные предложения).
В английском языке повествовательные предложения имеют твёрдый порядок слов, то есть каждый член предложения имеет своё определённое место. Место слова определяет его функцию в предложении. Нарушение твёрдого порядка слов приводит к лишённому смысла набору слов.
Следующий порядок слов является обычным для английского повествовательного предложения (см. схему):

I usually have four meals a day. In the morning I have breakfast. At school I have lunch. At home I have dinner and in the evening I have supper. Besides, I like to eat an apple or a banana, or to drink a glass of juice between meals, if I’m thirsty. Yesterday I got up at 7 o’clock, washed, cleaned teeth and dressed. Then I had breakfast. I had mashed potatoes with meat, a cheese sandwich and a cup of tea for breakfast. At school we had a pie and a glass of orange juice. I’m always hungry when I come home after school.
Yesterday my mother cooked cabbage soup’ roast chicken and rice, made pudding and tea. It was so tasty’ I ate everything with pleasure. For supper we had pancakes with jam and sour cream. These are my favourite things.
My mother thinks that one apple a day keeps the doctor away. That’s why she buys fruit and vegetables every day. Yesterday she bought oranges and kiwi. I have a sweet tooth and my parents often buy me ice-cream, sweets, chocolate, cakes, cookies and other tasty things. I like them very much.

My meals

It goes without saying that I prefer to have meals at home. At the weekend I like to get up late and have a good breakfast of scrambled eggs, or pancakes, or something like that. But on weekdays I’m always short of time in the morning. So I just have a cup of strong tea or coffee and a couple of sandwiches.
As I spend a lot of time at school (usually eight or nine hours) it’s necessary to have a snack at midday just to keep me going. That’s why I have to go to the school canteen to have lunch. Our school canteen leaves much to be desired. It has become a tradition with our canteen to serve chops and watery mashed potatoes every day with a glass of cocoa or stewed fruit.
But I enjoy my evening meal at home. My mother is a wonderful cook and her dinners are always delicious and various.
To begin with, we usually have some salad — tomato and cucumber salad or mixed salad (I like it very much). For the first course we have some soup — noodle, mushroom or cabbage soup, or maybe some fish soup for a change. For the main course we have meat, chicken or fish dishes, for example, steak or fried fish with spaghetti or potatoes (boiled or fried). We also have a lot of vegetables — green peas, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers. I prefer meat to fish but my mother makes me eat fish from time to time. She says it’s good for my brains.
For dessert we have some fruit, fruit juice or just a cup of tea with a slice of cake.
On Sundays we sometimes go to McDonald’s. I like everything there: cheeseburgers, hamburgers and Big Macs, apple pies and fruit cocktails. But unfortunately we can’t afford to go there very often, because it’s rather expensive for a family and besides, they say it’s not very healthy to eat at McDonald’s.
