The school I would like would have a swimming pool.
I’d have one for the first and second years and also for the third and fourth years. The playgrounds would be separate, one for the young children and the other for the senior forms. A wall would be separating them and there would be a door from one playground to the other.
The classrooms would have carpets instead of lino. The desks would be painted and the chairs would have cushions. The chairs would also be painted.
There would be a computer for every table in the classroom. There would be at least 12 videos for each classroom. The hall would be very big, about 40 metres long and 30 metres wide.
The lessons would be interesting. There would be lots of French and German and English.
There would be four floors at the school. There would be a lift to take us up. The staffroom would be much bigger than the one we have now.
It would be light and cosy. There would also be a big library. There would be a lot of instruments: flutes, guitars, drums, etc.
The school meals would have different food every day. There would be lots of visits to concerts and parks.
The tests would be easier for children.

There are many arguments concerning the problem of what an ideal school
should be like. Everyone has his or her own opinion of this problem.
Teachers, parents and pupils are on opposite ends.

Children like walking and playing games, so, of course, most of them want
a school to look like something where there are only friends, festivals,
little homework and no difficulties. Most pupils do not like strict teachers
and homework. Of course, such school cannot be an ideal one because thus it
cannot follow the aim of education.

that teachers must be strict, know their subject very well and teach pupils.
However parents also want their children to feel comfortable. So sometimes
they argue about school uniform, the number of lessons and the amount of
homework.

Teachers dream of obedient and industrious pupils. As teachers have to do
some paperwork, they want it to take less time to do the paperwork. Thus,
they would have more time for preparing for lessons and teaching pupils.

obligatory school rules agreed with parents and pupils’ demands. There should
be no conflicts between pupils.

My Ideal School!
First of all I`d like to tell you about my school. I have been learning in the same school for almost nine years. I like some things, and I don`t like other things. My school-is a school with in-depth study of certain subjects. I think it is certainly a plus. I know negative and positive things, but I will not speak about it. To my mind, my school is not far away from my dream school. Now I`m going to describe my Ideal School.
My Ideal School would be outside the city near a forest or a river, because the noise of traffic could disturb students at the lessons. When you enter the school yard you can see poplar trees and beautiful flowers. Children will be able to relax during the break, breath of fresh air. To the right of the school building will be a big playground. The school will be has a large room for lessons in various sections, such as dance, aerobics, gymnastics and much more. There will also be a swimming pool and various trails for cyclists and athletes.
When you enter the school you come in to a large hall and a cloak-room, there we left our coats, rain-coats and jackets.
Classes would be limited to ten students to pay more attention to each student from teachers. What about our homework we usually have a lot to do and it take me several hours. I sometimes have to sit up to write a composition, to prepare a report, to translate an article from English to Russian or to learn a poem by heart. In my Ideal School homework won`t be given. It would to be checked on the lessons immediately, that the children had free time.
As for subjects, I think that we need to study only those one that we need in the future of the profession. When you leave school you understand that the time to choose your future profession has come. It`s not an easy task to make the right choice of a job. People choose profession according to their own interests and abilities. My favorite subjects are English, computer science, history, Russian. I would like to give them more attention. At my school exams will be in the form of control works every month in the individuality of each student.
Breaks will be the same as in my school-for 10-20 minutes. During the breaks the student will hear the music. Scientists found that when you listen to good music it is a positive impact on learning. As for me, I love music. I listen to all that love, regardless of the direction.
Education will last for five days a week for five lessons. We need to introduce compulsory free two meals. Food will be varied, to choose from.
The most important thing in the school is society. The teachers will all be good; the relationship of students and teachers will be friendly.
How often do you wake up in the morning with the feeling that you don`t want to go to school? Six times a week! Nevertheless we do realize that we are the main inhabitants of the world which is called School World. Only we can change that fact. I believe that my children will learn it in such an Ideal School!

Моя идеальная школа будет находиться загородом, рядом с лесом или рекой, так как шум движения мешает заниматься на уроках. При входе в школьный двор можно разные деревья и красивые цветы. Дети смогут отдохнуть во время перерыва, подышать свежим воздухом. Справа от здания школы будет большая детская площадка. В школе будут большая комната для занятий в различных секциях, таких как танцы, аэробика, гимнастика и многое другое. Будет также бассейн и различные трассы для велосипедистов и спортсменов.
Когда вы зайдете в школу, Вы увидите большой зал и раздевалку, где можете оставить пальто, плащи и куртки.
Классы будут ограничены до десяти учеников, чтобы уделять больше внимания каждому со стороны учителей. Что касается нашей домашней работы, ее обычно у нас много, и чтобы ее сделать нужно порядка несколько часов. Я иногда приходится писать упражнение, придумывать сочинение, готовить доклад, переводить статьи с английского на русский или учить наизусть поэму. В моей идеальная школ домашняя работа задаваться не будет. Она будет проверяться на уроки сразу, чтобы у детей было больше свободноговремени.
Что касается школьных предметов, я думаю, что нам необходимо изучать только те, которые нам необходимы в будущей профессии. Когда вы покидаете школу, Вы понимаете, что пришло время выбрать вашу будущую профессию. Это нелегкая задача сделать правильный выбор работы. Люди выбирают профессию в соответствии со своими интересами и способностями. Мои любимые предметы: английский, информатика, история, русский язык. Я хотела бы уделять им больше внимания. В моей идеальной школе экзамены будут в виде контрольных работ каждый месяц в индивидуальности для каждого ученика.
Учебные дни будут пять раз в неделю по пять уроков. Нам надо ввести обязательное бесплатное двухразовое питание. Питание будет изменяться, чтобы был выбор продуктов.
Как часто вы просыпаетесь утром с ощущением, что вы не хотите идти в школу? Шесть раз в неделю! Тем не менее, мы понимаем, что мы являемся неотъемлемой частичкой мира, который называется Школа. Только мы можем изменить это. Я верю, что мои дети будут учиться в такой идеальной школе!

School plays an important role in everyone`s life. School is a place where students spend a lot of time. Here they study to count, to read and to write. Besides, school is a place where you make friends and learn about people as well as subjects. And we think, it’s a place which helps you (everyone) to find a good job in future. Therefore we decided to find out what ideal school should be.
The subject of investigation is: a perfect school.
The object of our investigation is: building, timetable, school uniform, canteen, classrooms, gym, school rules.
1 . Outside and inside of the perfect school.
Everyone from us would like to have perfect or ideal school. The school, where you can have a rest and where it is fun. The ideal school is the dream of every student. Our ideal school is near the city center. It is a modern three-storey building of a typical design. There would be a lift to take us up.
Behind the school there should be a big garden with beautiful flower-beds, bushes and fruit trees and a small zoo where students of our school can take care of animals.
When you enter the building you can see a large hall with lots of plants and benches inside. On the left there is a large and state-of-the-art canteen with modern furniture.
The cloak room should be on the ground floor. On the ground floor we would like to have an olympic swimming pool with an aqua park where students can swim and have a rest.
There would be a computer room, music room, recording studio, language laboratory, dance studio and football pitch. The teacher’s room would be much bigger than the one we have now. It would be light and cosy. There would also be a big library.
The classrooms, the laboratories, the doctor’s office, the library, the teachers’ room are situated on the upper floors. On the walls of the corridors you can see beautiful landscapes, pictures of famous scientists, writers and other outstanding people of our country. There are light curtains on the windows and many pots with flowers on window sills. The halls would be very big, about 40 metres long and 30 metres wide and are full of sunlight. There are many different special classrooms for the classes of Physics, Chemistry, English, Geography and Biology. They have high quality projectors, schemes and tables on the walls.
In every the classroom there is the tactile board, which everyone can use, 30 desks with a comfortable chairs, good lighting the room.
Also we want to have more modern technologies in every classroom. We would like to have a room, where it’s possible to search necessary information in the Internet. The ideal school should be more comfortable. There are small sofas and chairs in the school halls.
2.The ideal timetable.
The lessons would be interesting. An ideal school should begin at 10 o’clock. Instead of books, every student has got a laptop with access to Internet. The students have not got any homework. They have got optional activities and sports clubs.

The breaks should be longer than now. It is necessary that all students of our school and teachers have enough time to have lunch in our dinning room. Besides, we would like to have more sections or additional for example: swimming, karate, photo club, dancing club and additional occupations on Algebra and Russian.

We would like to have some rules in our ideal school. The discipline should be strict but there are not punishments. We’d like our teachers and students to treat each other with more respect. Teachers talk to the students as if they are grown-ups, individuals. The rules in school should be democratic: neither strict nor too free. So we would like to have such rules:

The another important thing in our ideal school is our food and our canteen. The canteen would be much bigger than the one we have now. We would like to have modern furniture in our canteen. The food in the canteen should be cheaper and tastier than it is now The school meals would have different food every day.

School of my dream
My name is Mary. I live in Moscow and study at the 8th grade. I like my school, but I believe some things can be changed. Some of the lessons are boring and there is too much homework.
So if I were the principal of my school, my first step would be cancelling homework. I hate spending my evenings solving mathematical problems and reading textbooks. After that, I would make the breaks between the lessons longer. We don`t always have enough time to relax or to have a snack. The school canteen menu also needs improvement, the food here is not healthy. There are mostly pies and chocolates. We want to eat soups, vegetables and fruits.
The autumn and spring holidays aren`t long enough for us to enjoy them. If they were longer we would be able to travel abroad or, for example, visit our grandparents in another city.
My favourite lesson is Literature. My friends like maths, biology and chemistry. So I would let every student decide what subjects to study. This way we would have more practice for our future professions. And the lessons should be more interactive. We should use new technologies, make projects, have discussions and play educational games.
Now there are 30 students in my class, that is why we don`t always get the teacher`s attention. In my perfect school, there would be not more than 10 students in the lesson. The teachers would be friendly, kind and experienced.
In my ideal school, we would also celebrate holidays together, have excursions, attend exhibitions, theatre and places of interest. It is important to study the history of our city, broaden the mind of the students. Having these events is good for building a friendly atmosphere in the class.

Меня зовут Маша. Я живу в Москве и учусь в 8 классе. Мне нравится моя школа, но я считаю, что есть вещи, которые нужно изменить. Некоторые уроки скучные, а еще у нас слишком много домашних заданий.
Итак, если бы я была директором своей школы, моим правым шагом было бы отменить домашнюю работу. Я ненавижу проводить вечера решая задачи по математике и читая учебники. После этого, я бы сделала перерывы между уроками длиннее. У нас не всегда есть время отдохнуть или перекусить. Меню школьной столовой тоже нуждается в улучшении, еда в ней нездоровая. В основном там пирожки и конфеты. Мы хотим есть супы, овощи и фрукты.
Осенние и весенние каникулы недостаточно длинные для того, чтобы мы ими успели насладиться. Если бы они были длиннее, мы бы смогли путешествовать или, например, навестить. бабушку с дедушкой в другом городе.
Сейчас в моем классе 30 учеников, поэтому мы не всегда получаем внимание учителя. В моей идеальной школе будет не более 10 учеников на уроке. Учителя будут дружелюбными, добрыми и опытными.
В моей идеальной школе мы будем вместе отмечать праздники, ходить на экскурсии, посещать выставки, театр и достопримечательности. Очень важно изучать историю города, развивать кругозор учеников. Эти события помогут создать хорошую атмосферу в классе.
