There is a proverb that it is better to see once than to hear a hundred times. That is why people need museums.
My favorite museum is State Darwin Museum. It shows natural diversity of our planet. Staffed animals are very realistic. One can familiarize with creatures of every continent, seas and oceans. There are both familiar animals like elephants, foxes or wolfs and beasts which lived on Earth long time ago.
The museum is well-equipped. It has a lot of interactive elements. For example one can hear singing of different birds pressing the buttons.
The most interesting for me is an exposition on human evolution. It shows how our ancient ancestors looked like and what tools they used.
I liked a tour very much. Our guide told us a lot of interesting facts about extinction and emergence of species.
I think everyone should visit State Darwin Museum at least once. It is the best place to learn about evolution. But I wouldn’t recommend to visit this museum on weekend, because there are so much people there, that you might not be able to come close to every exhibit.

I thought museums were boring. But I changed my mind after visiting the Museum of Human Living Systems!
It is not a place where you just walk and look at things. It is a place where you can touch everything and make experiments.
The exhibits of the museum are interactive. You can find out how long the human intestine is by pulling hose pipe of the model. You can study the structure of the body by piecing together a puzzle.
You can understand how the heart works by pressing the pedal which makes the liquid flow in the pipes. There is a stand showing how different animals and insects see the same objects.
One hall of the museum provides an opportunity to feel how people with disabilities live. I sat down in a wheel chair and tried to make some maneuvers in it. It was very difficult. Now I understand how important is to be careful and to avoid traumas.
There is also so called “florarium” with nice lizards and frogs, and even an ant farm.
The Museum of Human Living Systems is a great place. It proofs that learning may be fun.

I am not a big fan of historical and art museums. My favorite museum is Experimentanium Science Museum. I have been there twice and I’d like to go there again!
Experimentanium Science Museum provides an interactive exhibition covering all basic fields of science. Each area is full of exhibits that can be interacted with. There are sections on acoustics, optics, magnetism, electricity, hydrodynamics, and mechanics. There is also a hall with unusual jigsaws and puzzles for visitors.
Children can operate a small copy of a digger which is designed to replace plastic bolls from one box to another. One can play with air-cannon, make a print of one’s shadow, make a magnetic storm or build a magnetic arch, make a giant soap bubble.
In acoustic room a lot of musical instrument are available. There is also a special box to measure the loudness of your voice.
I also visited two shows: of chemical experiments and optical illusions. It was very exciting.
My parents also like this museum. It is a great place for family weekend. Visiting Experimentanium inspires to study science.

It is a big museum in the South-Western District of Moscow. Thanks to archaeological researches scientists found out how different organisms looked like and functioned millions of years ago. Some of them were preserved in resin, others in cooled lava or ice. Tremendous work had been done to find and study all this remains.
In Paleontological Museum one can see not only pictures and sculptures but real fossils. There are reconstructed skeletons of the ancient beasts in full growth. Some of them are huge!
The tour was very interesting. The guide told us a lot about ancient animals, reptiles, birds, insects and plants. She explained how climate changes pushed evolution from dinosaurs to the diversity which exists now.
It was really very impressive to see the realistic reconstructions of dinosaurs.
В Палеонтологическом музее можно увидеть не только картины и скульптуры, но и настоящие окаменелости. Есть реконструированные скелеты динозавров в полный рост. Некоторые из них огромны!
Экскурсия была очень интересной. Экскурсовод много рассказала о древних животных, рептилиях, птицах, насекомых и растениях. Она объяснила, как изменения климата подтолкнули эволюцию от динозавров к разнообразию, которое существует сейчас.
Было действительно очень впечатляюще видеть реалистичные реконструкции динозавров.
