Wherever there is any equipment needed, engineers are able to maintain it at a high level, and the technique now in all areas of production, without it can not exist even the simplest industrial enterprise.
Today the profession of engineer is not very fashionable, but it’s not bad, that is only more appreciated by qualified professionals. A good engineer must constantly improve his skills not only through education but also by attending various events, foreign exhibitions, which improve the quality of knowledge. Industry of Russia, at the moment, unfortunately, lags behind other countries, most of the goods we buy from abroad, but could produce it themselves. Of course, the salary is important nowadays but if you are not happy with your job, the salary will mean almost nothing. In this case you should find something else, something that will make you smile. This work even may become just a little addition to the main job.
My dream is to become an interpreter in the future. Why have I chosen this particular profession? The answer is quite simple. I like studying foreign languages and cultures. When I study a new foreign language, a new world seems to be opened to me. I can find something unusual, unique, fascinating or even strange there but it is the wonderful experience.
The profession of an interpreter gives you an opportunity to meet new people from different countries or social groups. It teaches you to make decisions right here and right now. It is the experience that you cannot get even being a translator, for example. This is the main reason why I want to be an interpreter.
I will do my best to become an interpreter in the future because this is the work that can make me happy.

What do you want to be when you grow up? We have heard this question many times during our school years. Perhaps, it was difficult for us to give a definite answer earlier. But now we understand that the time to choose our future profession has come. Finishing school is the beginning of an independent life for millions of school-leavers. Many roads are open before us: technical schools, colleges and universities. Centuries ago there were only a few jobs: people were farmers, bakers, butchers or carpenters. Today there are thousands of different kinds of jobs, and new ones are constantly appearing. No wonder that it is not an easy thing to make the right choice.
When choosing a future career, we should consider different factors. In my opinion, money is one of the most important factors when you make a choice. There are highly paid jobs and low-paid jobs. For example, a businessman, a president or a film star, are highly paid jobs. A worker, a doctor or an engineer, are low-paid jobs. I think everybody wants to earn as much money as possible. Training, promotional prospects and conditions should be also taken into account.
On the other hand, it’s good when you get satisfaction from your job. It is very important to choose a profession that suits your interests. In my opinion, a job should be interesting and socially important. Some jobs are considered to be more suitable for men and others for women. For example, the professions of secretary or nurse are more suitable for women. A lifeguard or a pilot are more likely the jobs for men. You should also decide whether you want to work indoors or outdoors.
To make the right choice, you should take into account your traits of character. It goes without saying that to become a good doctor you must be patient, caring and kind. The choice of a future profession is a problem that worries me now very much because I am 17 years old and this year I have to make a one of the most important choices in my life – the choice of a profession.

There are many interesting and exiting professions in the world. As for me, I always wanted o become an English teacher. I am fond of children and I like foreign languages. Being a teacher means not only teaching other people, but also constantly learning something new and developing your skills.
And knowing foreign languages gives the opportunity to meet interesting people and to travel more. I enjoy watching movies and reading books in English, but there are other subjects that I have to study to become a teacher. They are psychology, pedagogics, teaching methods, linguistics, history of the language and many others. Next year I am going to college and after my graduation I will be able to work as a teacher. I hope I will never regret my decision to follow this career.
