Many city people dream of spending their holidays in the village, away from the hustle and bustle. I live in a small village; it is located in a very picturesque area. There are many wide fields, shallow lakes, small rivers and thick forests around our village. There are a lot of animals and pure air; there is no smoke from the cars. We have water from a natural source.
We live in a new two-storied house. There is a large garden near our house. Vegetables and fruits grow in the garden. We have many apple trees, raspberries, and strawberries, currants. Our house was built by my grandfather many years ago. It is made of wood and looks very nice.
Life in a village is different from life in the noisy city. Everything is very simple here. We have no public transport; everyone walks on foot or rides a bike. And nobody complains about it. It seems that time is slower here than in the city. Nobody is in a hurry. There is not a great number of people here, everyone knows each other, greets and smiles. The rural inhabitants are rather quiet and friendly.
Our mother is a housewife and runs our household. She worked as a nurse in the town hospital earlier. Now she always has a lot of work in the house and in the garden. Our father works in a town near our village and helps her only at the weekends.
At the weekend, my dad, sister and I go to the town and buy everything we need for the next week. We usually buy beef, chicken, pork, fish, sausage, butter, oil, pasta, flour, sugar and cheese. We rarely buy fruits and vegetables because we have a lot of them in our garden. They are very delicious. In the village there are three small stores where you can go shopping. During the week my sister or I go out and buy necessary goods there.
Our mother likes to cook and her dishes are always tasty. In the morning she makes a breakfast for everyone. We usually have lunch for five of us: my mother, my sister, me and my grandparents. Our dad comes home for dinner.
My sister and I always try to help our mother. We keep our rooms tidy, air all rooms, and wipe dust, water flowers and other plants. Our grandmother usually washes and irons the laundry. Our grandfather works in the garden.
There is a wonderful world in the village, where you can relax and enjoy the nature. Life in the countryside appeals to me and all members of my family very well.

Многие городские люди мечтают провести свой отпуск в сельской местности, вдали от суеты и суеты. Я проживаю в небольшой деревне, она находится в очень живописном районе. И никто не жалуется на это. Похоже, время здесь замедлилось по сравнению с городом. Никто не торопится. Здесь живет мало людей, все знакомы, приветствуют при встрече и улыбаются. Деревенские жители довольно тихие и дружелюбные.
Наша мама занимается домашним хозяйством. Раньше она работала медсестрой в местной городской больнице. Сейчас же у нее всегда достаточно работы по дому и в саду. Наш папа работает в городе недалеко от нашей деревни и помогает ей только по выходным.
На выходных отец и мы с сестрой отправляемся в город закупить все, что понадобится для следующей недели. Мы обычно закупаем макароны, сосиски, муку, говядину, курицу, свинину, рыбу, сахар, сливочное масло, подсолнечное масло и сыр. Мы редко покупаем овощи и фрукты, потому что их предостаточно в нашем саду. Они очень вкусные. В деревне имеется три небольших магазина, куда можно отправиться за покупками. На неделе мы с сестрой выходим и покупаем там нужные товары.
Наша мама любит готовить, и ее блюда всегда вкусные. По утрам она готовит завтрак для каждого. На обед мы собираемся обычно впятером: мама, сестра, я и мои дедушка с бабушкой. Наш папа приходит домой только к ужину.
Мы с сестрой всегда стараемся помогать маме. Мы поддерживаем чистоту в своих комнатах, проветриваем все комнаты и вытираем пыль, поливаем цветы и другие растения. Наша бабушка обычно стирает и гладит белье. Наш дедушка работает в саду.
В деревне свой прекрасный мир, где вы можете расслабиться и насладиться природой. Мне и всем членам моей семьи очень нравится жить в деревне.
Топик My Village
A village is a quiet, peaceful place outside the city, which is a perfect place for rest. My native village is situated in Odintsovo District and it’s called Rublevka.
At the moment my grandparents live there and we often visit them. I grew up in this village, as my parents were most of the time at work. So, my grandmother raised me and I feel there at home.
Each weekend or holiday season I spend in Rublevka. My favourite time of the year is summer. It’s the time when I can live there for three months.
Our house is comparatively small, but it’s not a problem for us. It’s a one-storey house with a basement and an attic. There are three bedrooms in the house, a kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet.
The house is surrounded by enormous land. This is where my grandparents grow vegetables and fruit. Every summer we have our own harvest of potatoes, tomatoes, cabbages, various herbs, apples, plums and pears. There is a small flower bed as well. This is where my grandma grows the tulips and the roses.
We also have a summer bath in the backyard. It is a very convenient invention. It saves lots of water and energy. Other houses in the village are similar to ours. By the way I have many friends in the village, so there is no time to be bored. We swim in the nearest lake, we play hide-and-seek and we simply run around during the summer days.
Thus, summer in my village flies quickly. On the 1st of September I have to be in the city, as the school starts. However, I look forward to new weekends and holidays to go to the village. Being there is a real pleasure for me.

Many people like spending their holidays in the countryside. Life in the village is different from life in the city. Country air is less contaminated. There are lakes and meadows with grazing cattle. There are a lot of things you can do while staying in the countryside. You can take a stroll in the forest and listen to some birds’ singing, you can go fishing or swim in the lake. You can simply sit by the river watching sunset.
Everyone who lives in the village has their own farm. Some people rear hens, pigs or goats. Everyone has their own vegetable garden where they grow vegetables, fruit and berries. In the nearby forest they go to pick mushrooms.
In summer people stock up with firewood to stoke the stoves long winter nights.

Every man has his own Motherland. It`s the place, where a man was born. May be this place is usual and uninteresting for other people, but for you it is the dearest place in the world. There is no place like home. No need to roam the world in the search of the most beautiful place. You should turn around. It`s your native home place, the land, where you were born, whose beauty you imbibed with your mother`s milk. One of such place is my native village. The history of my village began in the 18th century, when the people began to settle on the left bank of the river Severski Donets (Siverskoye), so the first name of the village wasderived from the name of this river. Later the village was renamed in Krivtsovo. The people of my village are very hospitable, they are always glad to meet the guests. We have many interesting traditions, such as: Festivals of folk and children`s song, we celebrate the Day of the Village, Farewell Winter Festival and the Day of old people. This place is for those people who are looking for peace and a lovely rural environment. There is no traffic noise here. So, if you want to walk on a carpet of meadows and flowers or climb the hills covered with thick woods or fish in our ponds or drink the crystal clear water, Krivtsovo is just this place, which you must visit!
Welcome to our village!
The village Old Zubaryovo is one of the largest villages in Krasnoslobodsk district. It is situated on the right shore of the river Moksha. My village has mild climate: winters are cold, springs and autumns are warm, summers are hot and warm.
My village is washed by the river Moksha. There are two lakes in my village: Chistoe and Kamyshovka. The Old Zubaryovo is closely linked with the village Penkovo, with Zarechnoe village and the settlement Preobrazhenskiy.
The village was named in honor of the rich landowner Zubaryov who inherited the land in 1842.
My village ismodest, there are no special attractions, but it is very beautiful. Ordinary and friendly people live in my village. They are always ready to help each other. I am proud of my small homeland, my village – The Old Zubaryovo.
Деревня Старое Зубарёво – одна из самых больших деревень в Краснослободском районе. Она находится на правом берегу реки Мокша. Моя деревня имеет мягкий климат: зимы холодные, весна и осень тёплые, лето жаркое и тёплое.

My village’s name is Kachegan.
It is located in the south-eastern part of Miyaki district. Kachegan is about 250 years old. It was founded in 1786. First inhabitants settled along the river Kachegan. Many different trees grew there. The name “Kachegan” comes from the Tatar words “каен, чаган” – “birch, ” in English, because there were very many those trees. The village lies in the ravine between hills named by names our rivers. It is situated at the confluence of the two rivers The house stands on the foot of the hill. Between the hills there is a ravine. It is very nice there.
It stands on the banks of two rivers: the Kachegan, the Uyazy. The Kachegan is small and it flows into the Uyazy in the area of Kacheganovo. The Uyazy flows into the Dyoma in the area of our district. The nature of our village is very beautiful.
There is a pond not far from the village. Children and grown-ups like swimming and fishing there. There are very many kinds of fish: perch, pice, carp. The warm season one can see wild ducks on the pond. The cattails grow near its banks.
My village borders by the villages: New Ishly, Gainy, Semashkino, Akjar, Maly Karkaly, Umanovka. These villages are in the Kachegan municipal formation. Kachegan is the centre of the municipal formation. Our village is one of the large villages in the district. Its area is about 2 square kilometers. Its shortest distance from west to east is more than 1,5 kilometers; its shortest distance from north to south is more than 1 kilometer. Its population is nearly 560 people. They live in 107 houses. There are some streets: Youth Street, Way Street, May Street, River Street, and Hill Street. They are wide. People of many nationalities live here. For example, Russians, Tatars, Armenians, Ukrainians, Mordvinians, Bashkirs, Chuvashs. They speak their own languages.
The hills are covered with forests. Many different kinds of trees grow there: a fir, a pine tree, spruce, linden, birch, oak, aspen, snowball-tree, rowan-tree, maple, bird-cherry tree, poplar. There are many wild animals in the forests. For example, foxes, wolves, hare, wild boar, badger, lynx, roe deer. Many birds fly in our forests and fields, in the village: skylarks, titmouse, woodpeckers, sparrows, rooks, ravens, pigeons and magpies. We like to go to the forest and to pick up different berries, mushrooms, flowers. One can see a lily of the valley, a primrose, a snowdrop in spring, an ox-eye daisy, a cornflower, a blue bell in summer.
Our school is 35 years old. The school has a library, well settled classrooms, a sports ground and its own museum. Minnur Bulatovna tells visiters about the history of the village. The official language in the village is Russian. The villagers live in the nice big houses. Their children go to school witch is in the big fine building. It has 2 floors. We have 5 shops, a post office, a club, a library, a first-aid station, a savings-bank. There is a monument in the yard of the club.
The people who live in Kachegan grow vegetables and various kinds of fruit. They have beautiful gardens. There are many apple trees, black and red currant bushes, cherry-trees, gooseberry-bushes, raspberry, sea-buckthorn, in the gardens. We grow vegetables: potato, onion, carrot, tomato, garlic, pumpkin, squash, cucumber, cabbage, strawberry, beet, radish, pepper, turnip, egg plant.
My village is nice in summer because there are very many beautiful flowers in the gardens. My village is nice in winter because there is much snow on the ground. I like my village. Welcome to my village!
The villagers have domestic animals: cows, pigs, sheep, goats and even horses. You can see poultry there — hens, cocks, ducks, geese and turkeys. So they try to have everything they need to live well.
Among the villagers there are some men who like bees very much.

Dima’s parents are farmers, they work in the fields. Their farm is very good.
