The Wolf Spider is an octopodian canine apex predator that lived during the Croodaceous period.

Etymology
The name comes from the words Wolf(A kind of large canine species) and Spider(a kind of arachnid) and also relates to the real life animal as a sort of pun.
Anatomy
Head-They possess a head which is much larger than the rest of their body similar to that of the Macawnivore. They possessed a long muzzle tipped with a thick black nose pad above a wide mouth similar to that of modern Wolves. They possessed black lips which covered their sharp teeth and possessed elongated canines which pointed towards each other at the tip. They possessed a long pink tongue within their mouths similar to that of other canines.
Ears-They possessed short triangular ears which they could move to both express emotion and hear better.
Eye-They possessed 3 pairs of eyes ranging from incredibly small in size to quite large which can come in either blue or yellow iris coloration wise with no visible sclera and a black pupil.
Body-They possess no visible neck and a rectangular body similar to that of a modern Wolf. Their leg structure is quite unique for any mammal as rather than having legs which fall under the body, splay out to the side similar to that of a modern Lizard or Spider. Their legs are quite flexible and possess a large amount of movement similar to that of a modern Spider rather than any known mammal. Their feet are extremely flat with no visible toes through their fur, however the bottoms of these feet do possess pads similar to that of canines.
Tail-They possess long bushy tails similar to that of a modern Wolf.
Pelt-They possess an extremely thick coat of fur throughout their body with exceptionally long amounts off the cheeks with smoother fur on the face. Due to them living in such snowy and cold environments they may possess an outer and inner coat in order to keep warm and dry,
Coloration-Their coloration is highly variable with them coming in grey and white, uniform white, and uniform black, or even possessing markings on their face, all of which can occur within the same family.
Habitat
They live in cold environments and are not even bothered by snow and will use it to aid them in ambushing their prey.
Behavior
They are quite aggressive towards outsiders and will display very aggressive behavior towards those they deem as a threat, however if proven not to be of harm they may not act aggressively towards them until they attempt to interact with their young.
Like modern Wolves they possess a predatory lifestyle and eat mostly meats.
Abilities
They can produce silk from their rear ends like modern spiders do
